Tokyo Droning

Tokyo Droning is the smaller, wilder sibling of Home Normal. Founded in July 2009 and curated by Ian Hawgood, the label seeks to release soulful experimental minimal music. The focus is for artists to feel free to release more open works than they might usually - so for example; live, improvised, drone, micro-sound, field recording, and anything where the artist feels they can push their own boundaries in the work they do.

Whilst most of our releases are by invite, we are open to hearing demos from artists. We are very aware how hard it is to get people to listen to one's work and we will listen to each release carefully. Whilst we try to respond to everybody, as cliche as it sounds we simply can't respond to the bulk of demos we get one way or the other simply due to time.

Please also be aware that whilst the label is very open-minded, we are essentially a minimal organic ambient label so we won't be releasing heavy metal or acid techno, as much as we genuinely do love such music.
